Putting “Green” Into the Park East Redevelopment Plan

One proposal that has been getting short shrift in discussions is the inclusion of Green or Open space into the plan. Neither Peter Park nor the demands arising out of the CBA place much emphasis on this goal. A few parcels have been identified as “green,” but that designation seems to be driven by the unsuitability of the parcels for anything else.

As the holidays approach and we look for things to keep us busy (and in denial about the cold and dark), movie-watching springs to mind. Of course, you could be a traditionalist and watch those old holiday standbys like It’s a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn, and White Christmas. I, on the other hand, will be spending my Christmas with some alternative titles. WARNING: If you are looking for uplifting, kid-friendly films, you may want to look elsewhere.
