As a past mayoral candidate, our campaign theme was focused around clean government, clean elections and clean environment. With all of the past City Hall scandals, corruption and convictions, and more expected to come, we were convinced that the central underlying issue in this campaign should be one of clean government.

The City has decided to sell the foreclosed-upon property at 2941-2955 N. Humboldt Blvd. known as the Post Teldyne building to Alterra Coffee Roasters for a cafe and wholesale bakery. (Developer Andy Busalacchi had originally proposed putting a condo development on the property but those plans fell through).
March 9, 2004–A delegation from the United States has arrived in the Central African Republic to meet with overthrown Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. President Aristide was taken involuntarily to the Central African Republic following a U.S. coup d’etat on February 28. The group was granted visas on Thursday and Friday and departed the United States on Friday evening.
