The goals of the currency include supporting local businesses, cultivating community self-reliance, strengthening our local economy, and fostering environmental, social and economic sustainability. What a great day to be alive!  It’s pouring rain like cats and dogs outside my window and I can’t wait to get outside!  As a kid I remember the great regattas when the street gutters became our fantasy world and popsicle sticks became elegant racing canoes.

Riverwest resident Patrick Flaherty by a cheesecloth thin 71 vote margin on April 1 to claim
Milwaukee’s coveted Third District aldermanic seat.

But for Alderman-elect Kovac, the election isover, and the celebration is old news.
