GORDON PARK GROOVES – FINAL CONCERT

2ND ANNUAL COMMUNITY CONCERT & 9-11 CANDLELIGHT VIGIL THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11, 6:30-9:00 PM in Gordon Park (Humboldt & Locust).

FEATURING: Paul Cebar & The Milwaukeeans

At 7:45 p.m., a special Candlelight Vigil will take place. Riverwest youth, who represent the future of the community and the world, will help distribute 500 candles to all concert-goers. The vigil will be led by Riverwest resident George Martin of Peace Action Wisconsin.

Expect to hear Original Music along with Johnny Cash, The Beatles, cool jazz, bluegrassish picking, latinish grooves, africanish grooves, and heavy funk in some form or another. For six months of the year, between the vernal and autumnal equinox, Milwaukee is bathed in more than 12 hours of sunlight each day. This roughly corresponds with the presence of wildflowers in our natural spaces that enhance the lush green forest floor with a flourish of colors.
