Theresa Kenney – Riverwest Neighborhood Association’s 2010 “Neighbor of the Year” – gets up early. Her morning routine includes brewing a cup of green tea and then surfing the listservs of activist organizations in Riverwest. She scans the latest chatter from the Riverwest Co-op, the RNA, and Riverwest Health Initiative, the Victory Garden Initiative, Transition Milwaukee, Milwaukee Urban Gardens and Concordia Gardens.
Rasmalai Dreams

Rasmalai Dreams (62 minutes, Hindi with English subtitles, 2009), takes moviegoers into the headspace of contemporary Indian culture. It is a documentary, parody and travelogue rolled into an hour long feature which will make you scratch your head and laugh.

Shana McCaw & Brent Budsberg joint installation. • UWM’s Inova Gallery in the Kenilworth Building, 2155 N. Prospect Ave. An exhibition of work by the artists who received Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists in 2008. It brings together work by four artists selected in the Established Artist category: Xav Leplae, Shana McCaw & Brent Budsberg (a collaborative) and Iverson White; and five artists selected in the Emerging Artist category: Tate Bunker, Bobby Ciraldo & Andrew Swant (a collaborative), Frankie Latina and Barbara Miner. Thru December 13.
