Kern Park New Restrooms – Finally!

After years of going with out proper restroom facilities, the construction is well on the way for new public toilets and a picnic shelter. The older building on this site was in disrepair and the copper pipes had been stolen and not replaced leaving the park with portable toilets (often disgusting) and evidence of relief behind trees and bushes.

 Milwaukee County Parks Department, which is woefully short on funding has thankfully taken care of this inequity for a large park used by many residents in Riverwest and Harambee neighborhoods. It may be too late for this summer season but it should be open soon.
