The UWM Union Art Gallery, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd., features a “Transport Milwaukee” display in UWM’s Union Concourse March 8-12. This installation is an artistic, educational, and historic look at the ways Milwaukeeans get around the city and will include artwork and displays from local and regional artists and businesses. Pozner, a writer for Bitch and Ms. Magazines, and the founder of WIMN: Women in Media and News, will present a lecture about women in pop culture. Terrace Ave., March 17–May 9, are “American Garden Legacy” and “Exploring Garden Transformations, 1900-2000.” Opening reception is Wednesday, March 17, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The museum is also featuring a Garden Lecture series Wednesday evenings in conjunction with the exhibit. “American Garden Legacy” photographs include hand-colored glass lantern slide reproductions. “Exploring Garden Transformations” is a collaboration between the Smithsonian’s Horticulture Services Division and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES).
