ROCKERBOX MOTOFEST! Saturday, August 23rd NOON to 8:30 PM On E. Center St. between Weil & Pierce Streets, in Riverwest. EURO/JAPANESE BIKE RALLY & STREET PARTY Featuring 3 live Music Venues, Swap Meet, Dunk Tank, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Food, and more! Center St. is rockin and revvin up for Rockerbox MotoFest on Saturday, August 23rd. Rockerbox is a one day street festival featuring vintage and modern motorcycles with an emphasis on Japanese and European brands. The event is free and open to the public. In addition to dishing up food, Fuel Cafe will be the scene of a Japanese and European Motorcycle Rally. The bike show is open to vintage and contemporary bikes, cafe racers, choppers, street fighters cruisers, sport tourers, and street motards. Trophies will be awarded in several categories (tba). Music and dancing in the street will be non-stop with over ten bands on three outdoor stages presented by River Horse, Onopa Brewing Co., Foundation, and Fuel Cafe. Bands include Call Me Lightening, Cobra, Cutie, Klipspringer, Motorcycle Prom Dates, Nerve Twins, Spatula City, The Mistreaters, and Wooden Robot. Playing at Mad Planet after the event is The Last Vegas and Temper Temper. Playing inside Onopa will be DJ One-F, Noon Duet, and Paul Amitai. Adding to the festive scene will be a swap meet, dunk tank, various arts and crafts vendors, and a grand selection of food, corn, and lots of fun. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wegman Benefit Fund, a nonprofit organization that helps seriously injured motorcycle roadracers who have been hurt during competition. Center St. will be closed to all traffic except motorcycles. Ride in motorcycle parking only.
