STAR is a National Organization that stands for Sharing Treatment and Recovery for Women. The Greater Milwaukee Chapter seeks to expand and enhance women’s recovery networks. Our Present Goals Include: •  Identify community resources available to assist women in maintaining their sobriety. •  Educate the community at large about the issues of addiction for women and their unique needs for recovery. •  Educate recovering women on health issues affected by their former addiction. •  Promote freedom from stigma involving women and addiction. •  Influence public policy to improve service for women on state and local levels. •  Bring women together to engage in fun activies, so they get to know themselves and each other. If you would like to become active in the above issues, we welcome you to join this focused women’s recovery group. Our First Annual Spring Conference will be on April 27th at the First Unitarian Society Of Milwaukee. Speakers will address the above issues. For more information contact Sandy J.
