MIAD’s Liberal Studies and Fine Arts Division Present: Clamor Magazine / Rooftop Films Event at the Eisner Museum Auditorium Corner of Water and Chicago Street in Milwaukee’s Third Ward Tuesday, October 7th 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. Free and Open to the Public! Honored by the Utne Reader as one of the country’s “young visionaries under 30,” Jason Kucsma is the co-editor and founder of Clamor Magazine: New Perspectives on Politics, Culture, Media and Life (www.clamormagazine.org). The magazine is unique in that it encourages its readers to participate and “become the media.” Kucsma is also the founder of the Allied Media Conference. He will present a 20-minute video about Clamor Magazine — giving audience members the opportunity to learn how to participate in the magazine and other media sources. Josh Brietbart of Rooftop Films (www.rooftopfilms.com) will also present an hour-long program of short films. Rooftop Films is a volunteer run, non-profit organization which promotes independent film making in New York City. Rooftop Films has been showing movies on various rooftops to audiences in Brooklyn, New York for the past six years — ranging from ingenious shorts, animated films, experimental and handmade films. Both Kucsma and Brietbart will answer questions from the audience after the films. This promises to be an interesting and informative evening — don’t miss it!!!
