The long nightmare is over! The construction on the Humboldt Avenue Bridge is complete. Hop in your cars, grab your bikes, throw the kids in the stroller. Drive across, ride across, walk across. The bridge is finally open!

VIA CRUCIS – The Living Way of the Cross (Via Crucis) will begin at noon on Good Friday, April 10. The solemn procession, with hundreds of people participating, begins at St. Casimir Church on Bremen & Clarke and ends at St. Francis Church on 4th & Brown. A live re-enactment of the final days of Jesus takes place at various locations around Riverwest and along Holton St., with prayers and readings in Spanish and English. Expect some traffic and parking restrictions for a few hours along Holton St. between Clarke & Brown.
What Happens at the Follies stays at the Follies.
Riverwest. It’s a place like no other, ain’a? Where else in the world could youbegin your Saturday family adventure with Mass and end up at the Art Barwith the Squeezettes and some of the funniest polka dancers on the planet?
And in between you can watch your friends and neighbors entertain and amuseyou in a neighborhood talent show and eat supper from the local food co-op andparish kitchen. If your busy evening of entertainment allows, you could fit in a trystat Milwaukee’s newest make-out bar, Two. Might be crowded at intermission, though– it only holds 38 very friendly customers.
