Fostering Relationships
The child welfare system serving Milwaukee County is nearing the end of its third and final annual assessment period after a settlement agree-ment with children’s advocates effected in 2003. The outlook for abused or neglected children is looking better than it did just a decade ago.
Friends & Neighbors
Strong communities are supported by the institutions that serve them. All of us — neighborhood members, families and children — have the responsibility to use these institutions to learn more about ourselves and our history. Even while suffering from a nasty cold she took the time to be interviewed for this “Spotlight” because of the potential for spreading the word.

Gurath began his art studies at UW-Milwaukee. He then strayed from the academic path and took an uncharted and self-directed one.
