McGee Proposes Ordinance to Allow Cruising through Riverwest

June 17–New legislation sponsored by Ald. Mike McGee, a “Substitute resolution relating to designated sites for cruising,” is suggesting a pilot program to allow cruising in part of the 6th District.

Specifically, the resolution would make a cruising corridor out of Capitol between 5th and Humboldt on weekends starting in mid-July and continuing through the end of September. Cruisers would turn down Humboldt or 5th for the turnaround, likely going through Vienna, Nash, or Keefe Avenues before heading back up to Capitol.
