Twindominiums on Center Street

Bob Schaeffer and Dennis Rehberg are relatively good natured about the hurdles they say the city had them jump through in order to develop the property at Center east of Humboldt. While referring to it as trial by fire, and calling the first three attempts at beginning construction as the “hole from hell,” they admit that it’s all part of the learning curve.

Riverwest Neighborhood Association News

At the November 11 RNA meeting, Dave Schlabowske of the Milwaukee office of the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin attended to ask for feedback on the status of bike lanes and bike rack sites in Milwaukee. Current bike routes were set up in 1993 and have not been reviewed since. BFW is currently reviewing the entire network, filling in gaps, and repainting lanes. . . .

Riverwest Bars Fill the Music Void

I remember a time when my right hand didn’t go a week without being marked by a doorman for a rock show. The five years I have lived here have been filled with countless evenings spent in the company of Milwaukee music lovers and our favorite local and national acts. For a small city in the Midwest, we’ve had it pretty good as far as our music scene is concerned.
