Peace Action of Wisconsin is sponsoring an Origami Crane Making Gathering to make paper cranes for a National Pilgrimage to Close the Camps that will be held in Washington DC in June. Japanese Americans are bringing 125,000 paper cranes, called tsurus in Japanese, as an expression of solidarity with immigrant and refugee communities.  The 125,000 represents the number of Japanese Americans who were rounded up and put in concentration camps during World War II. Come help us fold cranes. All ages are welcome.  Volunteers are available to teach you how to make cranes.
