Further Down Stream April 2005

Holton Liquor, 2305 N. Holton, is being sold to a new owner, Jim Rahim. Mr. Rahim has applied for a liquor license which was approved 5-0 by the Utilities & Licensing Committee (U&L) on March 1. Only one person showed up to voice concerns.Due to the fact that neighbors were not aware of the application, Ald. Mike McGee and Ald. Mike D’Amato requested at the March 16 Common Council meeting that it be sent back to the U&L Committee. To date, they have received a few comments. If you have any concerns about the Holton Liquor operation or appearance, please submit your comments ASAP to: Ald. Mike McGee, mdamat@milwaukee.gov or 286-3447.

It must have seemed like a good idea at the time, or maybe just like an idea, which, under the influence of certain ethyl compounds, is enough. But I have gone to the dark side before, and so I shall again. . .that’s right: this month’s bars were chosen solely so I could go see The Mighty Lumberhorn and eat samosas! Such power! Muwahahahahahaha. . .
