Sturgeon Return
On October 26 on a rainy afternoon, six adult lake sturgeon, including a female over 5 feet long, were released into the Milwaukee River at the end of Concordia Avenue in Riverwest. This is part of a ongoing effort to reintroduce this magnificent and ancient species to the river and Lake Michigan.
