NEW YEAR’S DAY FUN! Wednesday, January 1, 2014

POLAR BEAR PLUNGE – Jump in or just watch – either way it’s the coooolest way to start the New Year at HIGH NOON on Bradford Beach. Bring your fur muffler, sunglasses, and a hot toddy! As always, ambulances and TV crews are on standby to capture the madness. For those too shy to venture out, surf the web in your pj’s for entertaining fotos and videos of past plunges.

KITE FESTIVAL – After the icy plunge, head over to Veterans Park for the high flying Cool Fool Kite Festival, 11AM-5PM. You’ll find artists carving blocks of ice, horse drawn carriage rides, giant kites, free hot chocolate, coffee & snacks, hot food for purchase & more. Fun for the whole family, but dress warm!

OUR LADY OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE – New Year’s Day Mass, 9:30AM at St. Casimir, Bremen & Clarke (see ad Page 11).
