FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 6-9:30PM, MITCHELL PARK DOMES, 524 S. Layton Avenue Milwaukee Public Theatre celebrates 30 years of original outreach performances and workshops in the visual, performing & healing arts with stilt walkers, puppeteers, musicians, dancers, actors & visual artists Storytellers from African and Hispanic traditions will perform in the Rain Forest Dome, while musicians and improvisational comedians regale adults and children in the Desert Dome. The Show Dome, featuring the French “Garden in Provence”, will be the site for mimes, dancers & musicians. Craft artists & face painters stationed outside each dome will invite guests to make paper flowers and decorate their faces. On the lawn, drummers & jugglers will conduct free workshops for anyone who wants to participate. A special awards ceremony will honor sponsors, after which birthday cake & beverages will be served. A cash bar and food from many cultures will be available for sampling or purchase. $30 advance reservation/donation includes membership to Friends of MPT & 4 tickets.
