Willie Hines, Council Chair, BACKGROUND INFO: At the time the Humboldt & North store was built, Jewel Osco promised not to apply for a liquor license at this location. Well over 200 citizens signed petitions to oppose a liquor license at the Humboldt & North store when it first came up. These are on file at the city. Also a couple years ago, Jewel Osco tried to get a liquor license for the Capitol Drive store but were unsuccessful due to vigorous objections from the neighborhood. — ========================= THURSDAY, JULY 22 ========================= SUMMER OF PEACE, Kilbourn Park, 2-7PM City wide youth rally for Peace on the Streets!
