Get ready for feasting on locally made goodies and merrymaking on the East Side. Milwaukee has a new summer festival: the Brady Street Artisan Food Festival. The festival, which will held Sunday, July 25, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., celebrates artisan, craft, and organic foods made by Wisconsin businesses. The fest, created by the Brady Street BID and the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, invites Wisconsin businesses to join as vendors. Participants will be expected to offer food samples and sell pre-made products as well as frozen foods, fruits and vegetables, olive oil, etc. The entire Brady Street area will be blocked off for vendors and two music stages. The festival will also feature cheese sampling, food/wine pairing lectures, and speaking opportunities for food experts. Businesses that are unable to participate are invited to donate a gift certificate or gift basket for a raffle. For more information, contact Jenna Smith at 414/232-1304.
