Center Street has been bought by Ismail Ozcan. The building was listed in last month’s survey of vacant commercial properties in Riverwest. Once interior repair and remodeling work has been completed, his tentative plans are for a food-related venture. An estimated 500,000 Americans took part in MoveOn PAC’s Bake Sale for Democracy, and Riverwest’s Bremen Cafe was the only Milwaukee venue to hold a local version. MoveOn PAC, the online advocacy group, organized over 1,100 bake sales April 17 to raise money for MoveOn PAC’s campaign to “Bake Back the White House.” Bremen Cafe manager Mehrdad Dalamie said the cafe’s bake sale raised $500 for the cause.
