Zoe Fashions and three area rock bands join forces March 13 at Onopa Brewery, 735 E. Center St., in a Second Harvest benefit. Beginning at 9 p.m., Zoe Fashions will present fashionable clothing and designs. Musical performances by The Bugs, 2 Tone Blonde, and Union Pulse will follow. A donation of $5 is requested, and non-perishable goods will be collected. All proceeds will go to Second Harvest Food Bank. Riverwest’s new gallery/lounge scene is opening in March at Art Bar, 722 E. Burleigh. Every Sunday is “Open Canvas” night where a featured artist creates an original painting while friends watch. The “One Week Painting” will be on display until the next Sunday, when another artist paints over it. A photo record will be displayed at the end of the year showing all 52 works. Along with the exposure, artists receive a $50 bar tab during their Open Canvas night. Pierce St.) is seeking compelling contemporary installation art from emerging and mid-career artists. Hotcakes will be exhibiting a series of solo installation shows that run an average of 2 weeks. The first in the series will run June 4-13. Artist will have 4 days (in the gallery) to set up and 2-3 days to tear down. Hotcakes’ staff will be available to assist.
