Putting “Green” Into the Park East Redevelopment Plan

One proposal that has been getting short shrift in discussions is the inclusion of Green or Open space into the plan. Neither Peter Park nor the demands arising out of the CBA place much emphasis on this goal. A few parcels have been identified as “green,” but that designation seems to be driven by the unsuitability of the parcels for anything else.

Sculptors Commissioned to Create Public Art at Riverside Park

The Urban Ecology Center (UEC), located in Milwaukee’s historic Riverside Park, has been reviewing proposals for public art projects as part of the UEC’s expansion project. The Center’s Art Selection Committee has carefully considered several strong proposals and sought public input at an open community meeting in November.
