This Saturday, June 14, at Pere Marquette Park on Old World 3rd (KING DRIVE ALL THE WAY) and State, I, ELECTRIC ERIC BLOWTORCH, will sing and bang my guitar as part of the Voices for Peace concert also featuring Robyn Pluer, Mrs. Fun, and Taste Emcees. The concert lasts from noon to 10 pm; I am scheduled to start at 1:35. Peace Action of Milwaukee is hosting this show in an effort to inform music lovers about the causes and FX of war (‘What is it good for? It’s good for business!’ -Billy Bragg). Admission is freedom. This Sunday, June 15, at Club Caribe on the northwest corner of Center and Humboldt, in the dance hall in the back, the MIGHTY DJANGO HI-FI rolls on with Jamaican records from 9 pm to 1 in the mornin’. Call 378-8351 for information. Admission is mandatory. Next Thursday, June 19, ERIC B AND DAVIM spin dope dance discs manufactured after the first Moon Landing at River Horse, 701 E. Center St. (@ Pierce St.), from 10 to closing time. Admission is all right. Next Saturday, June 21, ERIC BLOWTORCH and the INFLAMMABLES meet the UPTOWN SAVAGES inna Cudahy at Vnuk’s Lounge, 5036 S. Thursday, June 26, TASTE EMCEES meet ERIC BLOWTORCH and the INFLAMMABLES and ARMAGIDEON and a DJ, so I’m told, at Onopa Brewing Co., 735 E.
