Co-Op meeting Thursday, April 10, 7 PM -Seeds of Change Clean-up and Party (?) Presentation by Greg Shelko concerning Biopack Building at 2730 N. Humboldt. -Proposals were narrowed down from 8 to 3 by officials at the Department of City Development. Taken into consideration were: -Desires of neighborhood residents -Suitability of project to neighborhood -Experience and prior record of business/developer -Benefits to community -Offering price Proposals: Todd Hutchison, ABC Development -12 2-story condominiums with parking and 3rd-story addition to building -Condos would sell for $155,000 each -Rented studio spaces for commercial artists and tradesmen Russ Davis, Bella Luna Pasta -Manufacturing facility, retail store and small restaurant -Lawn to be landscaped to add patio seating and 15-stall parking lot -Would add 10-15 more jobs to Bella Luna + jobs at restaurant and retail store George Salvat of AgWorks -Food Science incubator Community Kitchen -Allows small food manufacturers to use professional grade equipment and Health and Agriculture Dept. certified food prep space for hourly rental ($8-$20/hour) -Cold and Dry Storage *Potential to combine proposals by Bella Luna and Ag Works (Davis of Bella Luna agreed to consider.) Motion to support Bella Luna Proposal with suggestions to beautify wall facing Gordon park and collaboration with AgWorks – Seconded and agreed upon unanimously Holton Street Revitalization – The RNA agreed to support the addition of bike lanes along Holton Street, as well as the planting of more trees along the street. Meeting Adjourned The next RNA meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 13 at 7 p.m. at the YMCA CDC office at 604 E. Center Street.
