Children’s Outing Association (COA) Camp Helen BrachmanA great residential camp for Riverwest Youth, located in Central Wisconsin approximately 3 hours from Milwaukee. For ages 8-15 years, cost is $600 per session (includes transportation, meals, lodging, insurance, activities, arts & crafts, swimming, canoeing and workshops). Scholarships Available! Call 263-8383. Session 1: June 28-July 8Session 2: July 11-21Session 3: July 24-August 3 Goldin Summer Day Camp: Ages 7-10 year, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for each session. Each session includes theme field trips and a swimming field trip. Other activities include arts and crafts, team sports, computers, library trips, and more. Lunch and snack provided. Programs take place at Kilbourn Park next to COA. Choose from any or all 4 sessions. Before and after care is available (7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and/or 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.) at $7/hr per child. It’s a plane! It’s Superheroes! Focus is on our favorite everyday heroes through activities, field trips, and guest speakers. Children honor their heroes on the last day with a special picnic. Session 2: July 1-12 (closed July 4th)Attack of the Killer Tomatoes! Focus is on health and nutrition through activities, field trips, and guest speakers. Food finale will be a Cook Off where each group will showcase its healthy cooking skills. Session 3: July 15-26Science Made Fun! Focus is learning how science and technology impact our world. Groups will design their own science project to be displayed at the concluding science fair and carnival. Session 4: July 29-August 9Outdoor Adventure! Go on a safari, rock climb, and canoe. Designed for the adventurer in all. Groups will compete in an “Amazing Race” style scavenger hunt on the final day. COA Child Care CenterEnrollment for ages 6 weeks to 4 years; K-4, K-5 Plus, before and after school care available now through the summer.
